Brian had a work obligation in Newburyport, MA a few Friday mornings ago. Usually he heads back into the city afterwards, especially if the responsibility is in the morning, but this particular Friday he surprised me by planning to take the rest of the day off so Bennett and I could join him for the day in my favorite north shore town.
I love Newburyport for its charming downtown area, which borders on the most beautiful waterfront park. While Brian was at his hearing, Bennett and I strolled around the park watching boats enter and leave the harbor. It was quiet for a Friday morning aside from a few friendly joggers and dog walkers saying hello. It was the exact beautiful and scenic recharge I needed after a long few weeks.
Brian met us at a coffee shop a few hours later, then when Bennett took a nap, we found a cute cafe where I could enjoy a glass of rosé and Brian an IPA. It felt so good to be able to catch up with my husband after weeks of complete mommy and daddy duty.

There is something about a crisp white top on a seaside summer day that makes me so happy. Add pretty eyelet detailing and it becomes absolutely perfect. The top sits at the hip, but I kept it slightly tucked into some dark jeans to show off an embroidered skinny belt that I just love.

I polished the look off with NARS Heat Wave lipstick. This lipstick has been my summer bright lip go-to for years. It is an orange-red color with a matte finish, and I've never seen anyone it didn't flatter.
