How is this Sunday possibly Father's Day?! Plans for an amazing Sunday are in the works because God knows Brian deserves it. He comes home every evening never carrying the stressful 11 hour day he had with him. He transitions right to daddy-duty as soon as he walks in the door and cherishes the time he has with Bennett bathing him and feeding him dinner. He is such an amazing father, and I can't wait to dedicate a whole day just to him.

I've been searching for the perfect present to complement the special day I'm planning, and I wanted to share a few gift ideas that caught my eye in case you were still looking for a Father's Day gift for the incredible guy in your life. Brian likes to layer a half zip sweater over a collared shirt for work and with a pair of jeans over the weekend. Even though the weather has warmed up, I figure he can wear it on chilly beach nights and then get more wear out of it again come Fall (plus it's currently 50% OFF)! And how adorable are these Bourbon Gummy Bears?! They're such an adorable side gift for Under $10! Although it won't exactly work in our space right now, how amazing is the craftsmanship of this dart board set!?  Brian always seems to be in need of a new pair of sneakers, and I really love the suede detail on this pair of Nikes. Also, how beautiful is this Swiss-crafted leather band watch?! Not only is it stunning, but it can also calculate velocity with a tachymeter and can handle 200m of pressure. I also love these Ralph Lauren breathable cotton lounge pants and think they would make a really great gift! And how classy are these driving loafers with the bit detail and textured leather?! Brian always appreciates a work shirt, especially one that's non-iron, and I know he'd love this classic gingham button-down. And when we don't know what to get, how about Cozmo the Robot!?  This cute little robot has a personality that develops as you hang out with it, and it's compatible with both an iOS and Android device. This Galileo Thermometer would also make the perfect, unique gift for the guy who has everything. The colorful glass bulbs rise or sink as the temperature changes. And lastly, how fun are these rocking whiskey glasses? They can rock back and forth without tipping over (quite the amusing way to enjoy a nightcap)!

I hope you all enjoy this round-up of Father's Day gift ideas!! I'd love to hear if any of you have some fun Father's Day traditions! Have an amazing week!

Mother's Day Wish List

1.  Wide Brim White Straw Hat  //  2. Leather iPhone 7 Wallet  //  3. Floral Crop Pajamas  //  4. Hardside Carry On  (ON SALE!)  //  5. Classic Whistling Tea Kettle  (ON SALE!)  //  6. Collection of Teas  //  7. Tassel Earrings  //  8. Afloat Print  //  9. Wicker Crossbody Bag

Happy Monday Friends!! I put together my Mother's Day Wish List for Brian you all in hopes to inspire some of your Mother's Day gifting! On my wonderful, perfect, utopian Mother's Day I would have chocolate chip pancakes in bed and receive each and every one of these gifts :) Of course I'm kidding- except for the chocolate chip pancakes- I would never joke about that :)

I saw this white hat at Banana Republic the other day and fell in love. I can picture pairing it with just about all of my spring and summer dresses. A cute pair of pajamas is also a wonderful Mother's Day gift idea! The crop pants and floral print make them perfect for spring and summer slumbers! I was looking through my bag the other day and realized I have not gotten a new wallet in close to 5 years! Crazy! I love this one since it can fit my iPhone and has plenty of room for cards and other essentials. I'm also in need of new carry on luggage and think that would be a wonderful gift for the mom who does some traveling. I found this gorgeous number on sale for 62% off! A classic whistling tea kettle is also on my wish list. I've been trying to trade in the glass of red for a cup of chamomile to wind down at night. I love the fresh white color of the one above and how adorable would it be to gift it with a comprehensive collection of teas!? I think the cuteness of these tassel earrings speaks for itself, and I would love them to have a place in my jewelry collection! I'm also still in need of a print to go over our bed, and I have my eyes set on this beauty available on Minted.com. It was taken in a harbor in Maine so I love that it has a New England quality, and boats in a harbor have always felt so tranquil to me. And finally, it's all about the straw and wicker bags this season, and I'm so OK with that! In my eyes, these bags are timeless, and I would love to add this beautiful crossbow bag to my wardrobe!

Hope you all enjoy your Mother's Day shopping and find a little inspiration in this post! Have an amazing week!

Mother's Day Gifting with JORD

Unique Mother's Day Gift Women's Watch

Brian can attest that I'm not the easiest woman to shop for. Sure I love a light floral fragrance or a beautifully scented candle as much as the next gal, but Brian often gets unconfident when it comes to the gifts that need to be a little more meaningful and can't be used up or flamed out. It's likely because I subtly (quite frankly) voiced on a few (several) occasions that the perfect Mother's Day gift is something eternal. It's something she can always look at and be reminded of what that gift signifies, knowing that all her hard work, selfless acts and endless love are treasured always.

Valentine's Day Gifts for Him

1. Brew Book  //  2. Waterproof Packable Jacket  //  3. Craft Beer Flight  //  4. Cotton Pajamas  //  5. Marshall Bluetooth Speaker  //  6. Crosley Turntable  //  7. Driving Shoe  //  8. Nautical Watch  //  9. Duffle Bag  //  10. Swell Water Bottle

Can you believe Valentine's Day is right around the corner?! I was browsing some gift ideas online for Brian the other day and thought it would be fun to share a Valentine's Day Gift Guide for Him. Brian and I don't really put too much pressure on ourselves for Valentine's Day but we do exchange a gift and, like last year, we'll probably head to a nice kid-friendly restaurant.

I found some really great things for guys online right now! This home brew book is so much fun! It's perfect for a guy who has been considering trying to brew his own beer at home. This North Face Waterproof Jacket comes in a few different colors and the entire jacket can be stored into one of its own pockets making it perfect for travel. This Craft Beer Flight would add such a fun touch to a beer tasting party and I love its old-fashioned look. I didn't even know they made pajama sets for guys but this one is adorable and comes with a t-shirt and lounge pants! And how amazing is this Bluetooth speaker that looks just like a classic Marshall amp! It would make the perfect gift for the music lover! And speaking of an amazing gift for a guy that loves music, this vintage style turntable not only plays your vinyls but allows you to convert them to a digital file! These casual driving shoes are made of nubuck leather and have a beautiful, classic look. If your guy could use a new watch, it doesn't get more perfect than this nautical-inspired watch by Jack Mason. The details on the watch resemble maritime instruments and the red, white and blue colors give it some American flair. This duffle bag has beautiful leather detail and meets domestic and international carry-on size requirements. And this Swell bottle makes drinking your recommended daily water intake pretty damn stylish. Cold drinks stay cold up to 24 hours and warm drinks warm up to 12.

I hope you all are inspired by some of these gift ideas and have a fabulous week! Also I would love to hear if you have any recommendations for a good kid-friendly Valentine's date restaurant in the Boston area!

Gifts for New Moms or Moms with Rugrats

1. S'well Water Bottle  //  2. Assortment of Teas  //  3. Refreshing Body Mist  //  4. Monogrammed Pendant Necklace  //  5. Gorgeous Yoga Mat  //  6. Hydrating, De-puffing Eye Mask  //  7. Luxurious Bubble Bath  //  8. Silky Pajamas  //  9. Dry Shampoo  //  10. Tote Bag  //  11. Chic Flats

Hey Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Our hearts were filled celebrating Bennett's First Birthday on Saturday! We had such an amazing time and Bennett was so happy! His birthday party turned out even better than I ever could have thought, but now I'm exhausted!

I love this Gift Guide since it represents stuff that made me happy and my life as a new mom a little easier over the past year. It's so important for breastfeeding mamas to stay hydrated and how better to do so than with a stylish water bottle. This assortment of teas is such a cute gift idea since moms could certainly use a little boost at the beginning of the day and a little unwind at the end. I love spraying a subtle body mist on in the morning after my shower. It's easy for new moms to find themselves in a little bit of a rut from fatigue and just not feeling like themselves and this mist would help add a little bit of feel-good and freshness. I've featured this monogrammed pendant necklace in so many posts but I truly think it makes such an amazing gift for any mom. I wear my "B" necklace practically every day. Whether a mom is working on their post-pregnancy fitness or just trying to destress, this yoga mat would someone seriously happy to workout. It looks like a work of art. These eye masks are fantastic for de-puffing eyes after minimal sleep while this bubble bath is perfect for mommy "me" time after a day of getting hair pulled and changing diapers. And after a bubble bath wouldn't it be nice for the mom you're gifting to slip into these luxurious p.j.s?!  When Bennett is really young there were times when I literally couldn't remember the last time I had washed my hair and dry shampoo was a "hair"saver. This one by Dry Bar is amazing and would make a great gift for any new mom. A nice tote bag would also make a great gift! I love the color of this tote since it would match with anything and love that it's large enough to throw in a few diapers and toys. I've pretty much retired all but a few of my high heels for the time being since I am always carrying Bennett, so a chic pair of flats would make such a cute gift idea!

I hope you guys enjoy this week's Gift Guide!  You can be directed directly to the items on the retailers' websites by clicking on the images or links above. I've also listed the other Gift Guides I've featured for the Holidays below! Have a wonderful weekend, friends!

White and Gold Dessert Stand  //  8. Bath Tea Bag and Bar Soap Set  //  9. Archipelago Candle  //  10. Marble Serving Tray  //  11. Petite Drop Earrings

Happy Friday My Friends!! I have been looking forward to this weekend for such a long time! We're throwing Bennett a First Birthday Party and I have been party planning like crazy! I have been a little sad about my baby turning one and spending a good amount of time during the day looking through his newborn and Christmas pictures from last year. It's truly incredible to me to see how much he has changed. Life really is a wonder.

So were you guys able to catch my Gift Guide for Him- Under $25 earlier this week? Well, this post is dedicated to Gifts for Her that are $25 and Under! I thought I would have a harder time creating this list. I only pick items I genuinely like myself and I was nervous that I would find items on a $25 budget that would make me truly excited to receive them. Boy was I wrong! I actually had more items on here but I always like to keep my collages to a limited number of items so they're not overwhelming or look too crazy.

Let's start with these Fair Isle socks. Socks have a bad reputation from being a gift that your crazy great aunt might give you but these socks are beyond adorable and look so warm and cozy! I always have a hydrating face mist in my purse (or diaper bag nowadays.. ha). My skin tends to get pretty dry especially during New England winters and this mist infused with hibiscus flower petals hydrates and leaves a fresh glow. I love the personal touch monogramming adds to a gift and this monogrammed makeup bag is an amazing bargain! This clutch looks far more expensive than it actually is and can be worn dressed up or dressed down! This beanie is a winter must-have. It comes with a fantastic price tag and an assortment of color options. This monogrammed mug is so pretty and sipping from it should brighten up anyone's morning. This white and gold dessert stand is stunning and perfect for the gal who likes to bake or entertain! I was confused when I first saw this bath tea bag and bar soap gift set but when I read about the contents I thought it was genius. The tea bag is actually a bath soak and the description sounds heavenly! This would make a great gift for work colleagues or as a hostess gift. I'm a huge fan of Archipelago candles and I have always thought that candles make a great inexpensive gift idea. This marble serving tray belongs in every home. I just love the pop of the gold handles. Finally, these petite drop earrings are beautiful and I'm obsessed with their rose color! They would make a such a thoughtful gift!

I hope this Guide helps you find that perfect Gift for Her while sticking to a budget! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! You can check out my other Gift Guides Below:

Black Friday & Cyber Monday Sales

Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sales

Now that Santa has made his way down 34th Street the Holiday Season has officially begun! Traditionally I spend Friday after Thanksgiving planning out and getting started on my Holiday shopping. I'm not brave enough to venture out to the stores, but fortunately many of the Black Friday Sales are extended online. So today I will be enjoying a glass of wine or two and making myself comfortable on the couch with my laptop. These Sales are so good that I can't help but eye a few Holiday pieces for myself as well :)

Holiday Gift Guide- Gifts for HER

Holiday Gift Guide for Her
There are few things I love more than giving gifts. I love the entire experience. All the way from the shopping to picking a theme for my gift wrap to seeing the expression on my family or friend's face as the gift is opened. In my eyes, it is truly the best part of the Holidays.

As Black Friday and Cyber Monday near, I am continuing to plan my course of Holiday shopping action. This week's Gift Guide is dedicated to Gifts for Her. I truly wish I could have everything on this list so much, and I think these would make great options for gifting to that special friend, family member or loved one (Wouldn't it be awesome if the guys were already contemplating your Christmas gifts this year)!

A neutral scarf is a pretty safe gift, and I just love this scarf's blend of wool and cashmere! I have this J.Crew Excursion Vest, and love it as a layering piece in my Fall wardrobe! It will absolutely continue to be worn year after year! I think the most beautiful item on this guide are these shoes. The plaid is so classy, and I love the detail on the strap. One aspect that actually steers me in the direction of a potential gift is the packaging; so of course I'm dying over the beauty of this Tory Burch Fragrance Gift Set. I'm a huge fan of Voluspa candles and always think it's nice to gift a variety of scents so a different one can be burned depending on my mood. I know I've also made mention of this Madewell Tote, but it really is such a sound gift idea. It would pretty much go with everything and make the perfect everyday bag! I've been crushing hard on these bow leather gloves since they first caught my eye this season. The bow just makes them so elegant and distinguishes them from other everyday leather gloves. Another "can't go wrong" gift is a beautiful cable knit sweater. The mock turtleneck on this one makes it exceptionally sophisticated. You also can't go wrong with the classic style of a Rebecca Minkoff bag, and this one is on MAJOR MARKDOWN! And, finally, how gorgeous is this peplum lace top?! It is perfect in every single aspect from the color to the floral lace pattern.

I truly hope this Guide comes in handy for you! In case you missed it, you can also check out my Men's Gift Guide here! I recommend Pinning or Bookmarking these Guides so you can have them easily accessible for Black Friday or Cyber Monday since some of these items might be going on Major Sale! You can be directed straight to these items' pages by clicking the image in the collage above or the links provided below! Hope you all have a beautiful day!

Holiday Gift Guide- For the Guy who Loves the Classics

A Holiday Gift Guide for the guy in your life who loves the classics.

1. Clubmaster Sunglasses  //  2. Waterproof Boots  //  3. Italian Leather Briefcase  //  4. Half-Zip Sweater //  5. Square Flask  //  6. Hand-Crafted Wood Watch  //  7. Barbour Jacket  //  8. Beer & Food Pairings Cookbook  //  9. Whiskey Making Kit  //  10. Classic Flannel  //  11. Toiletry Bag  //  12. Down Vest

Hey Everyone!!  I'm so excited to reveal my very first Holiday Gift Guide!  It's time to start thinking about what you're going to get all those special people in your life so you can take full advantage of upcoming Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sales!! I personally use this time to compose a list of what I plan to get Brian and other family members so on sales days I can just simply check to see if those items are marked down and then add them to my cart! I have found over the years that I'm much more satisfied with the gifts I give when I start planning NOW.

This first Guide is for the men in your life who don't really venture too far from a classic, timeless style. My husband is the classiest guy I know, so I used him as my muse, and I know opening any of these gifts would make his eyes light up! If you're not ready to pull the trigger on any item quite yet, then bookmark this page (and the other Gift Guides to follow) for easy reference when you're sipping a glass of wine on the couch taking advantage of Black Friday / Cyber Monday shopping! (Remember many retailers start their sales at Midnight!)

So as an optometrist, of course I had to throw a pair of sunglasses on here (duh, UV protection) and these have an amazing timeless look. A classic pair of waterproof boots also makes a great gift and are perfect if your guy likes to spend time outdoors. I saw this leather briefcase when I was out shopping with Bennett last week and fell in love. Even though it's leather, it still has a casual everyday look for work and is a great size so guys can actually fit their stuff inside. My husband's Fall wardrobe is pretty much this shirt in all sorts of colors, so I know he wouldn't mind adding this one to his collection. I added this down vest to the list because they are so warm and look amazing over plaid button-downs! Brian also has always loved these half-zip sweaters. They look perfect over a collared button-down. As far as jacket's go, it's tough to get classier than this Barbour jacket. They are so warm, and I love the olive color of the one in this guide! And these wood watches are probably my favorite gift to give this year. They are so unique and individually hand-crafted. A gift like that is so special and endearing. I don't usually think cookbook when I think about gifts for Brian, but this one is from the only Michelin-starred restaurant in the world that exclusively pairs food with beer, so I know he would love it! And while we're on the subject of booze, since I know the home beer making kits were all the rage last year (even though my husband has yet to take his out and start our IPA business.. ha), how about this home whiskey making kit?! Pretty cool! And he can sip his very own whiskey out of this square flask! Also I got my husband this toiletry bag because I was sick of seeing his wasteful ziplocs every time we went out of town, and he now understands why it's nice to have a toiletry bag... ha!

I have received so many supportive messages about The Northern Magnolia recently, and I can't thank you guys enough! It's been so much fun to start this site, and I feel it has been giving me the motivation to learn and make so many new things as well as hone my own personal style. I really couldn't love any of this more, and I know I'm really going to enjoy curating some inspiration for you guys over the Holidays!

Have a wonderful week!
